  • Alternative Dispute Resolution

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is the process of resolving legal conflicts without going to trial. Our firm is proactive in this area, advising clients on arbitration, mediation, mini-trials, collaborative law, and private judging. We have substantial experience and training in ADR and serve as mediators and arbitrators. We routinely advise our clients on the legal consequences flowing from particular terms and conditions of all ADR options. With this extensive expertise we are able to assist in determining when a form of ADR is in the best interest of our clients and meets their needs better than traditional litigation.

  • Business and Commercial Law

We provide a wide variety of services to our business clients from assisting in selecting the type of organizational entity under which to operate, tax planning, preparation of agreements, sale and purchase of businesses, obtaining financing and funding for business operations, contracts and employee relations, to dissolution.

  • Business Organizations

The form of a business affects every aspect of its operation. Our firm assists clients in formation, business planning and tax options in deciding whether they want to operate as a closely held business, limited liability company, partnership, or corporation. We advise our clients about directors' and officers' liability, dissolution, franchising, reorganization, trade association membership and activity, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, business successions, and shareholders' rights.

  • Real Estate

Our firm represents both commercial clients and individuals in all types of transactions and litigation that deals with real property, land and the structures attached to it including specific issues of commercial and residential purchase and sale, brokerage, development, construction, mortgages and foreclosures, leases, landlord, tenant, zoning, management, and homeowners & condominium associations.

  • Banking & Finance Law

Banks and financial institutions collect deposits from individuals and entities and invest those funds in loans, securities, and other assets. Our firm assists depositors, lenders, and borrowers in accordance with intricate state and Federal banking statutes and regulations. Our attorneys have experience in lending and secured transactions, loan workouts, mortgages and foreclosures, and financing. Our clients have included borrowers, commercial banks, credit unions, savings and thrifts, and holding companies.

  • Estate Planning

Our firm handles a variety of estate planning matters, including power of attorney and planning for the distribution of an individual's property at his or her death, taking into account wills, taxes, insurance, pre-nuptial (marital) agreement, and trusts so as to gain the maximum benefit of all laws, while, at the same time, carrying out the person's wishes.

  • Probate & Estate Administration

Probate is the legal process by which a person's debts are paid and assets are distributed upon her or his death. Estate Administration includes the probate process as well as non-probate transfers of the deceased's assets. Individual state laws direct the probate court how to distribute the deceased's estate. State laws and procedures vary greatly, so it is important to consult a firm with expertise in this area of the law to ensure that the deceased's assets are distributed correctly.

  • Consumer Law

Our clients work hard for their money and will not allow themselves to be cheated with bad products or in one-sided business transactions. We have intimate knowledge of the federal and state laws designed to protect consumers and have on many occasions helped clients achieve satisfaction through litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

  • Landlord/Tenant

A home is important to a sense of security and well-being. Likewise, the location of a business can be crucial to its survival. Our attorneys have dealt with disputes between Landlords and Tenants that threaten the relationship between lessors and lessees of residential and commercial property.

  • Employment Law

Employment law covers a complex network of laws that controls how employers must treat employees, former employees, and applicants for employment. We concentrate on preparing agreements between employers and their current and former employees. Our attorneys are experienced at preparing noncompetition agreements, severance packages, issues involving trade secrets and other preventative matters.

  • Litigation

Our firm represents and advises clients who are or might become involved in a lawsuit as a result of a dispute, including prevention and settlement, in such areas as real estate, residential construction, probate, employment claims, contract disputes, commercial matters, and business organizations.
